The Dashboard shows drilling and leasing activity across Texas. It’s free, and you don’t need an account. Open it from Dashboard in the header of the home page. From other pages, press ⌘ K and choose Dashboard. In Maps, click the QuickScout logo at the left end of the search box, then Dashboard.

What’s on it

  • Permits and Completions for the latest month, with the change from the month before.
  • New leases: how many leases started producing recently.
  • New oil, New gas and New BOE: the first-month production of this cycle’s new leases, as a daily rate.
  • Permit & completion activity charts both by month.
  • Initial potential shows first-month rates. Switch it between Oil and Gas.
  • New leases lists recently started leases. Click a row to open that lease in Maps, in a new tab.
  • Top operators and Top counties rank the eight most active by first-month BOE. The Move column shows how each one’s rank changed.

Horizontal or vertical

The Horizontal / Vertical switch at the top changes permits, completions, new leases, both charts and the new leases table. New oil, gas and BOE, Top operators and Top counties always cover all wells.
