Upload a file

Drop files on Drop files, or draw on the map. QuickScout reads the file in your browser. Accepted: Shapefile (.zip, or .shp with its sidecar files), GeoJSON, TopoJSON, KML/KMZ, GeoPackage, FlatGeobuf, GML, GPX, MapInfo (.tab/.mif), DXF, DWG, SQLite, and spreadsheets (CSV, TSV, TXT, XLSX, ODS). Not yet accepted: file geodatabases (.gdb), old Excel (.xls), Access (.mdb) and GeoParquet.

Spreadsheets

A spreadsheet can be placed on the map in several ways. Pick one under PLACED FROM:
  • Lat/long columns
  • A WKT column
  • An API number column, as well surface holes or as wellbore paths
Choose which columns to keep under COLUMNS KEPT. The card then shows ON MAP when it’s done, or NOTHING PLACED if no rows could be located.

Draw on the map

Choose Point, Line or Area, draw it, then save it to A new layer or an existing one.

Work with a layer

Open a layer to see its Attributes, change its Style, link it to Projects, or check its Source. From the library, Export GeoJSON or Export CSV downloads a layer.
Filter the Wells table to Inside a My Data layer to list every well inside one of your areas. See Filters.
