# Credits

> What uses credits, how to check your balance, and how to top up.

AI features use credits: Ask QuickScout, asking about the map, log and cross-section discussions, daily briefs, and document chats.

## Check your balance

Open the user menu → **Credits & billing**. The meter shows:

* Credits left this cycle, and when they reset.
* How many you've used this cycle.
* Any you've bought on top.

On a team plan, the meter shows **Team credits** shared by everyone on the team.

## Top up

On **Credits & billing**, choose how many **Units** to buy (it starts at your seat count) and click **Continue to checkout**. Pay by card or bank transfer (ACH). Purchased credits roll over.

## Running out

When you're low, you'll see a note on the meter. If you run out mid-chat, the chat offers lighter, faster models that use fewer credits, and a **Top up credits** button.
