# Project alerts

> Watch your project's areas and get an email or text when something matches.

Open **Alerts** in the rail. Switch between **This project** and **All projects**.

  Alerts watch your areas, so a project needs at least one [area](/enterprise/areas) before you can create one.

## Create an alert

Click **New alert**, then:

1. **Data source**: what to watch, and a **Name**.
2. **Match criteria**: which records count.
3. **Areas**: which of the project's areas to watch.
4. **Delivery**: **Email** and/or **SMS**. SMS goes to the phone on your account.

Click **Create alert**.

## Manage alerts

* Each alert has **Enable/Disable alert** and **Edit alert**. Its menu has **Duplicate** and **Delete**.
* **Pause all** / **Resume all** switch every alert at once.
* **Run history** lists each check. Turn on **Only runs with matches** to skip the quiet ones.
* **Replay** shows an alert's matches by operator, field or county, and exports them as CSV.
